The rights and obligations of HOAs and their members are defined in a variety of documents that interact with each other. The Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act provides much of the framework for California HOA law. In many cases, the governing documents of an HOA can alter or extend these provisions.
Our governing documents include the articles of incorporation, bylaws, CC&Rs, general rules, and voting and election rules.
The links above are to unofficial electronic copies of the actual governing documents. For more official (but less legible) copies, please contact the management company, or consult this hard-to-read copy.
In 2010 we amended our articles of incorporation to change the HOA’s name to Casa del Rey HOA of Santa Clara. This was done to remove confusion with the name of an unrelated California HOA. That document is available upon request, but the only change was in the corporate name. This change was not intended to have any effect on the rights or responsibilities of the HOA or its owners.
